Lindsay and Nathan: Engagement

Lindsay and Nathan live in Las Vegas, but are getting married here in Memphis. They flew in this past weekend to get some wedding plans done and made time for me to do their engagement pictures. They requested the Collierville Square (yay!) and I was SO glad the weather cooperated. It was a bit gusty at times, but all in all, a decent day for January.

This couple photographed so well....I had a really hard time picking my top favorites from the couple of hundred that I snapped. They were so easy to work with, not needing much direction at all. I was so glad to get Lindsay's text message this morning telling me how happy she was that they chose me as their photographer. It's little things like that, that make me realize I'm on the right track :-)

Here are a few of my favorites, but as always, the rest are on my site!!

HALF OFF your Wedding Photography!!

Yes, you read that correctly!! As I am beginning my journey into the wonderful world of wedding photography, I wanted to offer my services at a price that people could really afford. I will be shooting my first wedding on April 3....just a few short months away!! I have 6 other weddings following that, almost one a month until October. I'm so excited these couples are letting me join in on their big day, and I hope that you take advantage of this fantastic deal and invite me into yours.

All you have to do to take advantage of this deal is book with me before June 30, 2010. My packages start as low as $400 (1/2 off=JUST$200!) I also offer an "a la carte" pricing guide so you can customize a package that fits your specific needs. Don't see what you want or need on my pricing sheets?? Not a problem. Unlike most photographers out there, I'm flexible and open to your ideas. If you need a service that I don't offer, let me know. I will customize anything for you.

My goal as a photographer is to provide every client with a unique, fun, professional, personalized experience....all at an affordable price. I set my prices low for a reason--photography should be affordable to everyone, not just people with money. As a newlywed myself struggling to follow my dream, I understand what it feels like to live on a budget. Please contact me even if you're convinced you can't afford it. I will send you my pricing sheet ASAP! Still aren't convinced I will fit your budget? Send me what you can afford and I guarantee I can build a package that will work.

Check back here mid-April to view photos from my very first wedding! If you become a blog follower, I will give you 1 complimentary hour of coverage at your wedding.

I hope to hear from you and wish you all the best with your wedding planning!

2 More Shoots.....

The first set of pictures are of "my pups." They are not mine.....I take care of them during the week for a couple that live out in Memphis. I have been taking care of them for a few months now and have grown to love them as if they were my own :-) The second set of pictures is of my best friend and her boyfriend. We did these about a week ago (yes, when it was COOOLD outside). They sucked it up for me and we got a handful of good pictures. We will be redoing this shoot sometime in the spring.....

January, you're too cold for me!

Needless to say, it is freezing outside!! I think this is the coldest winter I have experienced in Memphis since I moved here 9 years ago. I am itching to get out and get some photos taken, but since the weather has been near unbearable, I haven't had the chance. I have done a few photo shoots since I last updated and wanted to post some of the pictures.

This is the Brisco Family. I did their pictures back in November on the Collierville Town Square!

2010

It's hard to believe 2010 is just around the corner. I have not updated my blog for a while and thought I better do that before the new year!

2010 is going to be a fantastic year for me and my photography. I have been invited into the lives of 4 soon-to-be brides in order to capture their big day! They all have taken advantage of the fantastic wedding deal I have going on (which you can read about on my website under "Information and Contact")

I met with my first bride and groom, Cheryl and Ryan, and could not be happier!! They are two extremely great people--Cheryl wrote me after we met for the first time saying she thought it would be awkward meeting me, but that they were both pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they felt with me. What an awesome compliment!! I stress that on my website...you NEED to feel comfortable with your photographer or else you will not have confidence in them. The three of us clicked instantly and I can't put into words how excited I am to start my wedding journey with them.

I have three other couples that I am SO excited to meet and begin working with!

To any of you viewing this who have let me take photos for you, THANK YOU! I am amazed and feel completely blessed to have been invited into the lives of friends, family and complete strangers in order to photograph their most precious moments for them. I have been wanting to do this for years now and it's amazing to me that it's happening, slowly, but surely!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Crystal and Emma

This photo shoot was done at a farm in Olive Branch, MS. I usually do photo sessions in spots around my home, so it was neat to try out unfamiliar territory. The horses on this farm were really friendly and added a lot to the photos. Crystal and Emma are both extremely photogenic which made it easy for me to capture some absolutely stunning images of this mother/daughter duo. Thanks Crystal!

Jacob

This past Sunday, I had the privelege to do a photo session with Jacob on the Collierville Town Square. He was a ball of energy and curiosity which made the session TONS of fun! He had one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen on a 4 year old and I was able to capture some beautiful pictures. (And the weather was perfect!!) Here are a few of my favorites.....
